. . . solo with grandkids!
I was feeling sorry for myself, I hadn't been on a vacation for such a long time, so I talked Nick and Allie into letting me take Bradley and Brooklyn on vacation. Now at 4 and 2, they didn't really know what they were getting into, but I really played up the "vacation" with Bradley, and Brooklyn just went along with it! Fortunately, it all worked out!
All the kids went on a hike and came home saying they had found a lizard and Brooklyn was trying to hold it, but it ran up her arm and around her neck! Our little Brookie - such a trooper, nothing seems to freak her out!
Saturday was the family reunion, they went all out for the kids this year! They had rockets that the kids made and then there was an air compressor to launch them. That was a hit that occupied the kids for an hour or so.
There was a bounce toy, but the big hit of the day was a water slide! I was surprised that it didn't take Bradley long to figure out that was something he wanted to do! I had him take his shirt off, but soon found that the levi shorts were going to have to go as well, so there he was in his underwear.
I guess that it why little boy's underwear doesn't come in white anymore, you never know when it is going to have to pass as shorts!
When I asked Bradley what was his favorite part of the vacation, he said "all of it". These images are forevcr downloaded on the hard drive of my heart! Can't wait for the next vacation!
